The Gooden Center Retreat
COME AND JOIN US ONCE AGAIN FOR THE ON-GOING TRADITION OF LOVE, SPIRITUALITY & CONNECTION.
“God has two languages: silence and laughter.”
In the pursuit of both silence and laughter, The Gooden Center Alumni Association is announcing the 4th Annual Alumni Retreat.
We will be spending Friday, April 3rd thru Sunday, April 5th as guests of the Joshua Tree Retreat and Conference Center in the sacred beauty of Joshua Tree, CA.
With an ever-present theme of FELLOWSHIP IN RECOVERY, the weekend will be an opportunity to strengthen the bonds with those we already know and love, but also to show those struggling that they need never be alone again.
Amid the usual offerings of meetings, hikes, and meditations we will also be engaging in the groups and talks that have become a mainstay of this retreat over the last four years. This includes the immersion in the 12 Step Process that is continuous throughout the weekend and the customized format Fellowship Meeting that we host on Saturday night.
The venue offers a wide-variety of experiences that are exclusive to the surroundings of the high desert. This includes a level of solitude, meditative peace and transcendence that few find elsewhere. The Joshua Tree Retreat Center is known for being the conveyance point of ancient energy throughout the land. Come and take part in that experience.
This retreat will be a chance for men new to the process to discover how weightless they can be when supported by the hands of dozens, and for those of us years into the process to be assured that those hands are still there.
