On May 22, 2017, many lives were changed forever when our beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend Eddie Sorensen passed away. He was 33 years old.
Eddie grew up and lived the majority of his life in Santa Clarita, CA. He went to good schools; had a loving family, lots of friends, great health insurance and a wonderful psychiatric team.
Eddie loved nice cars and the thrill of driving off road vehicles. He loved boating, wakeboarding and snowboarding. He loved hanging out with family and friends, music, sushi, shoes, and watches. Most important, he loved helping others. He found special interest in helping those who were struggling with mental illness or drug addiction. He could relate first hand and offered amazing support to so many others. Eddie helped anyone who needed it, at any time he could. He had a heart of gold.
During his toughest times, when Eddie required treatment away from home, he found comfort at the Gooden Center. He liked the facilities, was comfortable with the services provided, and was cared for well. His family had peace in knowing he was safe there, getting the professional treatment he needed, from people that showed compassion, empathy and support.
For anyone wishing to pay respects through a monetary donation, the family would like the Gooden Center to receive donations in memory of Eddie. We will forever be thankful for the times they helped Eddie.
May we all find the strength we need to persevere during the times we need it most.
