Charlie Ball, C.A.D.C. II
Charlie Ball , our counselor coordinator, has been a counselor at The Gooden Center since 2003 and has worked in the field of addiction treatment for 10 years. Charlie has served on commissions to advise the State Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs on counselor certification and is a past member of the Board of Directors of the California Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (CAADAC).
Albert Alcala, C.A.D.C.A
Albert Alcala is a counselor at The Gooden Center. Albert chose The Gooden Center for his field placement class in college. Albert has received his Associate Counselor certification with the California Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors.
Joe Burke, C.A.D.C. II
Joe Burke has been working as a drug and alcohol counselor since 1992. His extensive experience and passion for helping clients connect to their spiritual side, makes Joe a perfect fit in his current position as Spiritual Care Counselor.
Terry Dunbar, C.A.D.C.A.
Terry Dunbar began his counselor internship at The Gooden Center and never left. Terry has received his Associate Counselor certification and is in the process of pursuing his full certification by California Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors.
De Shay Ward, C.A.D.C.A.
DeShay Wayd chose the Gooden Center for his placement class in college and was hired as a counselor when he graduated. DeShay has received his Associate Counselor certification with the California Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors.
Gerry Zabala
Gerry Zabala will graduate from East Los Angeles College in December 2009. He is a Sober Living Case Manager at The Gooden Center and is certified as a Recovery Specialist. He is federally certified as a breath alcohol technician.
