Your Job Just Got Easier.

As a professional, you confront the problems of drug and alcohol addiction every day. You deal with suffering souls, spiraling toward rock bottom. The trick is to catch them before they actually crash. You know, and we know that true Rock Bottom is not an easy place to recover from. That’s why we’re inviting you to send them Home. Home to the Gooden Center. Home to Recovery.

Drug Rehab for Men

The Gooden Center is a historic wooden house in Pasadena that welcomes addicted men with open arms. It’s been here since 1962 – over 50 years of hope, healing and help. These old walls have seen it all.

We provide a “Recovery Family”, starting with the men already living in the
house. They’re like brothers on the same road as the new guy, and they know what it’s like.

We also introduce new clients to our Culture of Caring. Counselors, clinicians, and the 12 step regimen are crucial. But so is Community, and that’s what a patient finds here at Gooden. The Community of Care. We don’t offer a cookie cutter recovery. Ours is a personalized program geared to each man. Our program is augmented with nutrition, exercise, urban adventures, group therapy, yoga, one-on-one sessions and multi-family groups. In addition, we assign each client a sober mentor and help him find a sponsor.

When a family member reaches out to you, or the addict/alcoholic himself tells
you he needs help, one call will connect them to someone who can help. From there, we reach out to the client and the family, and with their permission we will gladly keep you, the referring professional, in the loop as recovery happens. Even after formal treatment ends, the Gooden Center is a holding environment for the change we know is required for true recovery. We offer several forms of continuing care, such as Transitional Living, Outpatient Programs, weekly group therapy for alumni families, onsite al anon and A.A. meetings, and two After Care process groups for alumni clients.

Addiction can feel overwhelming and even terrifying. Tragically, less than ten
percent of addicts or alcoholics ever get any form of treatment. Don’t let your client be one of them – call us today to find out more about The Gooden Center.
